Job summary

Busy Bees in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Lead Teacher to work alongside fellow educators and families to provide a home away from home for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. You will follow NAC guidelines and create a caring, educational environment.

You will develop age-appropriate curricula, maintain safety, engage children with meaningful activities, and communicate regularly with families about progress and needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAC standards and AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe environment that supports growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to plan for best care and education.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As aLead Teacher, you will work side‑by‑side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to Early Learning Leaders NAC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years of age.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards & the AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curating programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
