Job summary

Busy Bees in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lead Teacher to work alongside teachers and families to provide a nurturing home away from home for children in our care, following NAC guidelines and AZ Early Learning Standards.

You will create developmentally appropriate activities, supervise children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, maintain a warm, safe environment, and communicate effectively with parents to support each child’s growth and learning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAC and AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment allowing children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to plan the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As aLead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to Early Learning Leaders NAC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years of age.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards & the AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curating programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
