Job summary

Harbor View Creative Learning Center in Matthews, NC, seeks an Infant Teacher to join our caring team. The shift is 9:00 to 6:00, Monday through Friday, with a focus on nurturing early development and safety.

Responsibilities include implementing a varied curriculum, tracking child progress, communicating with families, and collaborating with staff to maintain a clean, safe classroom. Applicants must meet NC licensing prerequisites and be prepared to obtain a CDA or CPR certification if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day).
• TB test and Physical.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Ability to act as a mediator between children.
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable.
• Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain.

• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact with each other.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
• Track children's progress and report to parents.
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Benefits:

• All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
