Job summary

NurturEd seeks a Lead Teacher to join our Rhode Island learning centers. You will work with Teacher Assistants to maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment and support children’s learning through reading, play, and engaging activities.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience with young children, strong communication skills, and a willingness to be trained. We offer benefits, growth opportunities, and collaboration with families to support each child’s development.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience with preschool-age children
• We will train the right person and offer opportunities to gain a degree
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Teacher Assistants to create a safe, structured, nurturing environment.
• Engage children in reading, playing, and learning activities.
• Inspire lifelong learning in students.
• Partner with families to nurture and care for children.
• Demonstrate tech-savvy skills with an electronic daily tracking app.
• Assist with accreditation and other quality initiatives.
• Oversee, develop, implement, and coordinate curriculum and assessments.
