Job summary

The Child Development Center in Southwest Austin is seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher to join our caring team. Start ASAP.

You will support the Lead Teacher in delivering developmentally appropriate activities and help foster a nurturing, safe learning environment for infants. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; infant experience preferred; ability to lift 30+ pounds; and passing the Texas DFPS background check.

Qualifications

• Required to have High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred Associate's or CDA.
• Previous infant experience preferred.
• Must pass Texas DFPS background check.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Assist with assessments, materials, and skill development.
• Support children's learning by implementing lesson plans.
• Communicate with families verbally and in writing.
• Build positive relationships with parents and coworkers.
• Attend to the needs of infants, promoting safety and engagement.
