Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks an Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teachers in implementing curriculum and maintaining a safe, healthy classroom for center children. The role includes supervising children, assisting with routines, and supporting parent communications.

Responsibilities cover health checks, documentation for licensing and YMCA requirements, and contributing to staff meetings. Training and development objectives are pursued with the lead teacher.

Qualifications

• Assist in supervising the children as directed by the Lead Teacher/Assistant Lead Teacher.
• Interacts with children during free play, group activities, and routine times.
• Completes daily paperwork to maintain licensing, Child Care Food Program, and YMCA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom staff in maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Assist with transitions, mealtimes, diapering, and supervision as needed.
• Build positive relationships with children and families in alignment with YMCA mission.
• Attend trainings and contribute to staff meetings as required.
