Job summary

California Schools Talent Collaborative is seeking an Early Education Infant Assistant for a temp-to-hire pathway with a district partner. You will be placed at a school site to care for children aged 3 months to 18 months under supervision of an Advanced Instructor or supervisor.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of $22.65 per hour. This entry-level role supports development and family communication while pursuing district employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 48 semester/60 quarter college units or pass NCLB test.
• 6 college semester units in early childhood education including infant care.
• Additional 6 college units within twelve months of employment.
• At least 6 months experience with children aged 3 months to 5 years.
• Vietnamese proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting an early education program for children 3 months to 18 months.
• Maintain warm, nurturing routines including diapering, feeding, hand washing and interactions.
• Ensure child safety through supervision and proper space and equipment.
• Assist in classroom operations in line with licensing standards.
• Support open, cooperative atmosphere for children and families.
• Document observations and assist in Required developmental assessments.
• Provide first aid and care for ill or injured students.
• Attend conferences and in-service training; perform clerical duties as needed.
