Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Demonstrates empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to work productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in handling children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through engaging activities.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster belonging.
• Communicate with families about children’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health, safety, and licensing guidelines to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and nurture a positive learning environment.
