Job summary

The Pillars, part of Lantern Learning Group, seeks a Preschool Assistant Teacher for Infants to create a safe, nurturing classroom where little ones learn through play. You will implement age-appropriate activities, support routines, and model caring behavior daily.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic ECE coursework, First Aid/CPR, and a willingness to pass background checks. Experience in childcare is preferred; driving may be required for transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meets caregiver qualifications (age, background check, medical clearance, annual training).
• Previous teaching or childcare experience (preferred).
• Early Childhood Education coursework or certification (preferred).
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (if transporting children) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging lessons and activities (storytelling, music, arts, discovery play) that promote whole-child development
• Foster a nurturing classroom culture where children feel loved, valued, and supported
• Model faith-based values and positive behavior while guiding routines and expectations
• Adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each child
• Partner with families to ensure smooth daily transitions and open communication
• Promote healthy habits like hygiene, nutrition, and self-care

Requirements
