Role Overview

The Industry Solution Director role combines Business and Product Development with high domain expertise. The director will work with customers to identify impactful business opportunities, define problems solvable by C3 AI's platform, and lead the delivery of solutions that provide significant business value. They should possess a deep understanding of C3 AI's competitive position in Operations Research, Logistics, and Network Analysis markets, along with knowledge of AI/ML and Optimization solutions.

Examples of Successful Engagements

Recent projects include production schedule optimization, supply network visibility, supply chain process mining, and predictive maintenance for assembly lines. These initiatives are highly visible and impactful.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams comprising data scientists, solutions engineers, application engineers, and product managers to deliver rapid, production-ready AI/ML applications.
• Collaborate with decision-makers, IT leaders, Data Science Leads, and subject matter experts to identify and develop compelling use cases for the C3 AI Suite.
• Partner with C3 AI Sales and customers to communicate offerings, define feasible AI/ML/Optimization use cases, and scope solutions.
• Provide domain expertise to guide data science efforts and customer interactions.
• Contribute insights to product strategy based on firsthand experience.
• Travel approximately 25%+ to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

Candidates should have an advanced technical degree and domain expertise in supply chain environments, with:

• Over 10 years of experience solving Inventory, Logistics, and Scheduling challenges in various industrial environments.
• BS/MS/PhD in fields like Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Extensive experience in technical problem solving.
• Knowledge of AI/ML/Big Data use cases and experience leading development with customers.
• Experience with Network Analysis, Sequencing Problems, Linear Programming, Queuing, Inventory Control, and Replacement Problems.
• Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
• Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in global teams.
• Experience supporting sales processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s in Data Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, or similar fields.
• Experience analyzing large datasets with Big Data/AI/ML tools, familiarity with Value Stream Mapping or Process Mining.
• Experience in agile engineering environments.
• Understanding of the competitive landscape in Supply Chain solutions and enterprise data platforms.
• Public speaking and customer engagement skills.

• California: $171,000 — $266,000 USD
