Job summary

TMEIC Corporation Americas is seeking an experienced Sales Leader for Renewable Energy Systems in the United States. You will shape and drive a long-term strategic plan, develop executive relationships with utilities and developers, and coordinate across internal teams to secure resources and achieve growth in solar PV, BESS, and related equipment.

You will lead a high-performing team and manage global market initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
  • 10 years of sales leadership experience in utility-scale solar PV, BESS, power conversion equipment, medium-voltage electrical systems, or renewable energy markets.
  • Proven success in business development and sales of complex engineered systems or multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Strong negotiations, commercial strategy, contract management, forecasting, and opportunity management.
  • Excellent client, supplier, and cross-functional relationship management.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and ERP systems.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and execute the sales strategy across the Renewable Energy Systems portfolio.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for solar PV & collaborate with product leaders to meet orders, revenue, and margins.
  • Conduct market research and forecasting to grow the RES business.
  • Build executive relationships with utilities, developers, IPPs, EPCs, integrators, asset owners, and channel partners.
  • Establish account strategies for key clients and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate with internal orgs to secure resources and align client requirements.
  • Lead global market strategy for RES in coordination with parent company.
  • Plan and deliver order commitments; build and lead a capable sales team.
  • Manage selling resources, territory assignments, account ownership, and coverage.
  • Lead opportunities, proposals, pricing, contracts, and commercial execution for major projects.
  • Forecast, pipeline development, bookings, and strategic pursuits.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and executives.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry organizations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and CRM data maintenance.

General Role Description

Deliver the comprehensive, long-term (3-5 years) sales strategy for the Renewable Energy Systems industry segment

Role Accountabilities
  • Evolve and execute the sales strategy through determination of the necessary business offerings and resources across the RES portfolio
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, with primary responsibility for solar PV and in collaboration with other product area leaders, to achieve order, revenue, margin, and market share commitments across the RES portfolio
  • Conduct market research and forecasting to grow and sustain the Renewable Energy Systems business
  • Develop executive relationships with utilities, developers, IPPs, EPC contractors, integrators, asset owners, channel partners, and other purchase influencers to position the Company for new projects
  • Establish account strategies for key clients and prospects, driving long-term partnerships, preferred supplier relationships, repeat business, and strategic growth opportunities
  • Develop relationships with internal domestic, international, and parent company organizations to secure resources needed to execute the strategy
  • Establish a global market strategy for the RES vertical in coordination with the parent company
  • Plan and deliver order commitments for the Renewable Energy Systems segment
  • Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure successful delivery of the sales strategy
  • Manage and deploy selling resources, territory assignments, account ownership, and strategic account coverage
  • Establish sales objectives, territory assignments, account ownership, and performance expectations to ensure effective execution of business goals
  • Lead opportunity identification, account planning, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and commercial execution for major projects
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, bookings, and strategic pursuit activities
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and executive leadership to align client requirements and business priorities
  • Represent Company at client meetings, executive briefings, conferences, trade shows, and industry organizations
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, forecasting accuracy, client engagement, and commercial execution
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of CRM data, proposals, contracts, forecasts, and business activities per corporate guidelines
  • Provide business executives with timely updates on sales activity, performance, market conditions, competitive activity, and client relationship issues

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • 10 years of sales leadership experience in utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), power conversion equipment, medium-voltage electrical systems, or renewable energy markets
  • Demonstrated success in business development and sales of complex engineered systems, EPC solutions, or multi-million-dollar projects
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams and achieving revenue, bookings, and growth objectives
  • Demonstrated strength in negotiations, commercial strategy, contract management, forecasting, and opportunity management
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and ERP business systems
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration
  • Existing relationships with utilities, developers, EPC contractors, IPPs, integrators, and renewable energy decision-makers
  • Demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed sales organizations
  • Experience developing strategic account programs, framework agreements, and long-term client partnerships
