We are seeking a senior-level Industry Principal – Restaurant to shape and drive Numerator’s go-to-market strategy within the restaurant sector. This leader will serve as the face of Numerator in the Limited Service and Full Service restaurant segments, leveraging deep industry expertise to build relationships, generate leads, and translate Numerator’s capabilities into real business value for clients and prospects.
What you'll do:
Go-To-Market Leadership
Drive Numerator’s Go-To-Market strategy and positioning for this key growth vertical for the company
Serve as the primary restaurant industry subject matter expert (SME) within Numerator
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to develop and refine go-to-market strategies
Identify high-value prospects and help generate qualified leads for the sales team
Client & Prospect Engagement
Engage directly with senior-level contacts at restaurant chains, and their distributors and suppliers
Translate Numerator’s behavioral and survey capabilities into tailored insights that address client business objectives
Support sales efforts by delivering compelling narratives around guest behavior, menu choices, visitation patterns, and competitive performance
Thought Leadership & Brand Representation
Drive Numerator’s visibility and presence in this vertical by partnering with marketing, solutions consulting, and other departments as necessary
Represent Numerator at key industry conferences, panels, webinars, and trade associations
Develop thought leadership content (e.g., whitepapers, blogs, presentations) on consumer trends and traffic-driving strategies in the restaurant space
Stay ahead of restaurant industry dynamics and use insights to guide internal and external conversations
10+ years of experience in the restaurant industry (either brand-side or supplier-side), with a focus on:
Consumer insights
Marketing and brand strategy
Business development or consulting
Deep expertise in what drives guest traffic, loyalty, and purchasing behavior
Strong network within the restaurant industry—especially Limited and Full Service brands
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; comfortable engaging senior stakeholders
Proven ability to align data solutions with business needs and drive revenue opportunities
Experience using or selling marketing research tools, syndicated data, or behavioral insights a plus
Nice to haves:
Background working with data platforms like POS, loyalty, CRM, or third-party research providers
Experience with restaurant analytics platforms, guest feedback tools, or digital engagement solutions
Thought leader in the restaurant space with past speaking or publishing credentials
