Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking an Industrial X-Ray Technician to join our Fabrication team in Texas. This entry-level focused role can suit individuals with varying experience by providing hands-on development and exposure to a wide range of projects on national and global scales.

You will ensure safety, perform radiography inspections, read specifications, and support process improvement. The position offers comprehensive training and opportunities to grow within a major pipe fabrication firm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in pipe manufacturing.
• 2+ years experience in the X-ray field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all procedures.
• Install film plates and manage exposure process.
• Operate X-ray equipment and inspect materials for conformance.
• Read drawings or manuals to determine inspection procedures and tools.
• Assist with testing and certification processes as required.

Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Industrial X-Ray Technician to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. What You’ll Do As a Level i

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines, policies/procedures, and regulations.
• Install film plates on the test subject prior to exposure.
• Remove exposed film plate and deliver them to the x-ray scanner.
• Install radioactive source on the test subject according to radiation safety manual.
• Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
• Read spool drawings, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection, and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.

• Position products, components, or parts for testing.
• Adjust, clean, or repair products or processing equipment to correct defects found during inspections.
• Monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; preferred
• Experience: 1+ Years' Experience in pipe manufacturing and 2+ Years' experience in x-ray field
• Computer Skills: Not applicable
• Certification/Licenses: Candidate must be able to pass homeland security background check, have a valid driver's license; have an industrial radiography certification identification card from the state of Texas or Louisiana
