Job summary

TQ Constructors is seeking a Welder / Pipe Fitter for industrial and commercial construction. You will read blueprints and isometrics, fabricate and install piping systems, and weld to project specifications.

Work with project managers, welders, and fitters to complete tasks safely and on schedule. The role requires 2+ years in welding/pipe fitting, proficiency in SMAW and GTAW, and the ability to read shop drawings.

Qualifications

2+ years welding/pipe fitting in fabrication or construction; stainless steel exp is a plus.
Proficiency in SMAW and GTAW welding processes.
Ability to read shop drawings, blueprints and piping isometrics (P&IDs).

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, isometrics and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe per specifications.
Fit, assemble, and install piping systems with proper alignment.
Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys.
Inspect and test welds and piping to ensure quality and compliance.
Set up and operate welding and pipe fabrication equipment safely.
Collaborate with project managers, welders, and fitters for project execution.
Assist with layout, cutting, grinding, rigging and other fabrication tasks.
