Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company seeks an entry-level Welder to perform welding repair and maintenance on stationary production equipment at aggregate, ready-mix, and asphalt plants. The role requires welding skills, manual dexterity, and adherence to safety protocols. Travel to other facilities may be required and overtime could be necessary to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; equivalent experience accepted.
• Entry level welding skills required; aggregate experience preferred.
• Welding experience in metal fabrication and maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Perform welding repair and maintenance on production equipment and structures.
• Interpret welding blueprints and specifications; lay out and fit parts.
• Operate welding equipment and tools; inspect welds for quality.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and housekeeping of welding area.
