Job summary

Key Technology WA - Walla Walla seeks entry level Welders who read engineering drawings and weld to specifications. Tasks include layout, tack up, welding with GMAW and GTAW processes, and meeting quality standards for material from 20ga to 3/4" thick.

Welders will use clamps, grinders, and torches as needed and participate in a production environment on a swing shift with a 15% differential. Safety is emphasized in all duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; basic computer skills; welding program helpful
• 3 years welding fabrication experience with weld demonstration testing
• Knowledge of gas torch and plasma equipment; overhead crane operations; pneumatic tools

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and use fixtures, templates, stops, and guides to build equipment as required by blueprint.
• Lay out, tack up and weld simple equipment and components.
• Identify and repair weld defects in accordance with quality standards
• Demonstrate improving consistency in weld quality and productivity
