Job description

HDR's Industrial Water/Wastewater Project Manager in the Round Rock office will:
  1. Lead, direct, develop, and market projects involving the planning, design, and construction administration of industrial water and wastewater facilities;
  2. Direct project staff and lead industrial water/wastewater projects as a project director and/or project manager, including marketing and proposal planning;
  3. Conduct complex process engineering for projects and proposals;
  4. Lead preparation of engineering plans and specifications for industrial facilities, including water and wastewater treatment systems;
  5. Provide project and task management;
  6. Collect, analyze, and present data in reports;
  7. Develop and implement client engagement strategies with leadership to grow business with key clients.
Requirements:

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' experience in industrial water/wastewater engineering, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7 years' experience.

Experience must include:

  • Process engineering for industrial water/wastewater treatment;
  • Start-up and commissioning of water/wastewater systems;
  • Design and construction of industrial facilities;
  • Physical design and modularization of systems;
  • Marketing and pursuit of projects;
  • Planning and budgeting;
  • Staff management and mentoring;
  • Collaboration with designers on 2D and 3D CAD plans.

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure from any US jurisdiction is required.
