Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an Industrial Water Regional Growth Lead to join our West Coast Design and Engineering team as a “seller/doer”. This technical position will be key to our growth in the US, with a focus on the west coast, undertaking conceptual and detailed process design for industrial water treatment and sustainability projects in various industries including Technology, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Life Science, Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical, Pulp & Paper.

The Industrial Water Regional Growth Lead will be a key member of Arcadis' national practice, leading the development of industrial water/wastewater projects across California and the western US, serving multiple sectors and clients. Industrial Water is a rapidly growing sector, and we are poised for significant expansion through large, complex projects worldwide.

Role accountabilities:

You will lead client management and development, serving as a technical expert during project execution. This client-facing role involves collaboration across various locations to support projects and business development nationally and globally. Ideal candidates will have a background in consulting engineering within the Water Sector, focusing on Industrial Water/Wastewater Treatment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the growth of the Industrial Water process team across multiple sectors.
• Leading projects in planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities for industrial clients.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Serving as Subject Matter Expert or Design Manager on complex projects, including tasks like design basis documentation, engineering calculations, review of drawings and reports, and specifications.
• Assisting project managers with scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling.
• Managing technical coordination and leadership roles on high-risk or complex projects.
• Leading business development efforts, including pursuits, proposals, client meetings, and expanding client relationships to grow the industrial water portfolio.

Key Skills:

• Experience in biological treatment, zero liquid discharge, brine management, detailed design, water use optimization, or ultra-high purity water production.
• Background in industries such as semiconductors, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Life Science, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Automotive, Aerospace.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience.

Preferred:

• Master's or PhD in related fields.
• PE license.
• Experience with multinational industrial clients and in the western US.
• Previous regional role and collaboration experience.
