You will monitor processes, ensure safety and compliance, and support continuous improvement in wastewater operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-issued Industrial Wastewater Operator license is typically required.
• Understanding of SDS and OSHA regulations.
• Safety conscious and 5S driven; proactively recommend safety corrections.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Pretreatment operations: manage oil-water separators, clarifiers, and chemical precipitation units.
• Chemical management: dose neutralizing agents, coagulants, and polymers to handle variable influent chemistry.
• Sludge handling: operate filter presses, centrifuges, and drying beds for dewatering and disposal preparation.
• Source monitoring: inspect production lines and coordinate with plant operators for spikes in discharge or volume.
• Regulatory compliance: document discharge metrics to meet local, state, and federal permits.
