Job summary

Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment is seeking a full-time paint technician to prep, sand, and paint trucks and vans in a manufacturing setting. You will prime, paint, and touch up vehicles, mix paints for correct color and viscosity, and perform related surface treatments.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of automotive/heavy vehicle painting experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years painting automotive/heavy equipment in manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop is a plus.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Prep, sand, and paint Dejana trucks and vans.
• Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes.
• Mix paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency.
• Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint or other processes.
• Sand, wash, and condition parts; light bodywork may be required.
• Inspect product before, during, after paint process to ensure specifications are met.
