Job summary

Superior Essex is seeking a Utility Laborer at the Franklin Plant to support critical production systems, including enamel, quench and evaporator equipment. You will assist with hazardous waste handling, housekeeping, inventory, and routine maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience, with the ability to lift up to 45 pounds and input data into a computer system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year related experience.
• Must input information into computer system.

Responsibilities

• Inspects enamel hose connections for leaks and replaces gaskets as needed.
• Monitors hazardous waste and solid waste drums and stores materials properly.
• Maintains inventory of ethanol, mineral spirits and power strip.
• Cleans and maintains enamel rooms and associated equipment.
• Operates tow-motor and ensures it is charged at end of shift.
• Performs daily housekeeping and waste removal in plant areas.
