Within the Resort Enhancement team at Disneyland Resort, the Industrial Upholsterer position requires specialized knowledge and skills to perform tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

This role involves restoring the appearance and quality of upholstered objects used in attractions and vehicles by examining damage, planning repairs, and sourcing parts. It supports maintenance teams across infrastructure, facilities, and attractions.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational and Functional: Use hand tools and specialized upholstery equipment, maintain tools, operate pneumatic and electric tools, and receive training on operating lifts and forklifts.
2. Material Handling: Lift and move fabrics, cushions, and materials; operate carts, pallets, and other equipment safely.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to work any shift, including holidays, with flexible days off.
• Minimum two years of upholstery experience covering hand ties, measuring, cutting, piping, hand stitching, and tufting.
• Experience with sewing machines and hand sewing.
• Knowledge of furniture and auto upholstery, precise measuring, and pattern fabrication.
• Understanding of foam standards, tufting, spring compression, and furniture materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics, operate pneumatic tools, and learn Maximo CMMS.
• Ability to follow safety checklists and operate department vehicles or equipment safely.

Additional Information:

Annual hearing conservation training and audiometric exams are required.

Work shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM or end as late as 5:00 AM, with full availability required including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
