Silvi Materials in Greenville, SC is seeking a Terminal Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment, perform PMs on motors and conveyors, and ensure plant machinery runs safely.

The role requires experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, and the ability to read maintenance manuals. A valid driver’s license is required, and overtime may be needed. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in steel fabrication and welding is highly preferred.
• Experience with electrical panels and machinery is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by completing PM requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems and conveyor belts.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Determine changes in dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments with tools and levels.
• Maintain safety by following procedures and regulations; keep a clean work area.
• Coordinate, verify and report downtime for the assigned shift.
• Communicate with management regarding equipment condition to minimize downtime.
• Perform general labor such as landscaping, painting, and maintenance as needed.
