Job summary

SLAMcore in Bloomsdale, MO is seeking an Industrial Technician to support safety-driven maintenance in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will perform inspections, repairs and installations on a variety of equipment, while promoting safe work practices and teamwork across shifts.

The role requires outdoor work, willingness to work at heights and in dusty environments, and prior industrial maintenance experience. Respirator protocols and PPE are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Must work outdoors at heights, in dusty areas and around water; able to work any shift.
• Prior mechanical/industrial maintenance preferred; follow safety PPE rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform walk-by inspections and checklists on operating process plant.
• Carry out industrial maintenance, repairs, installations and replacements on equipment (rigging, cutting, welding, fittings, lubrication, alignments, etc).
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment during operation and during mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain documentation and organize work; participate in team activities.
• Adhere to safety policies and use PPE, including respirators when required.

Industrial Technician

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to: Assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing proper PPE
• Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to: developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
• Perform walk-by inspections & checklists on operating process plant
• Perform industrial maintenance activities, make repairs, installations and replacements on a wide variety of equipment (Example: rigging, cutting, welding, fitting, lubrication, alignments, basic low voltage electrical repairs, housekeeping, hydraulics, pneumatics, operate light and medium sized plant mobile equipment)
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment during operation and mechanical breakdowns; mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education:

Required Work Experience:

1 year of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Additional Requirements:

• Required to work outside, at heights, warm temperatures, and at times around and over water, in dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Must be able to work any shift as required
• Ideal candidates would have a high mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a team based environment
• Prior experience in Mechanical Maintenance or Industrial Maintenance preferred
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Client approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
