A leading waste management company is seeking an Industrial Technical Services Representative to support sales teams by providing customer service for industrial waste solutions. The role requires strong organizational skills and knowledge of waste regulations. This position is mainly remote with occasional office visits. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.
Work Situation
While this is mostly a work from home position, there may be occasional visits to a local office for team meetings. Candidates can reside anywhere, but preferably in the Midwest. The work schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm CT.

The Industrial Technical Services Representative (TSR) is an inside support role servicing both our internal and external customers with their industrial waste solutions. You will be aligned with a geographic territory supporting one (or several) of our Industrial Account Executives who are selling in the field and acting as a point of contact with our customers in those areas. Half of your day will be spent on the phone, and the other half working on email communication and in our WM systems and programs. This will require excellent organizational skills and an ability to navigate computer programs like Salesforce and Microsoft Office quickly and efficiently. We would also prefer some exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous profiling and knowledge of RCRA.
I. Job Summary
Partners with Industrial Solutions sales team to drive industrial and hazardous waste sales revenue growth. Provides customer service and support for internal and external customers. Applies technical knowledge to consult with existing and potential customers on transportation and disposal options.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other additional duties may be assigned.
Assists customers in developing transportation and disposal options for the management of industrial and hazardous wastes.
Applies technical knowledge to assists customers with testing parameters and proper completion of profiles, manifests, and appropriate forms.
Processes profiles, contracts and credit requests, schedules pick-ups, resolves billing inquires, and resolves customer issues.
Develops economic and practical solutions for customers using competitive pricing tools. Develops customized proposals and prepares correspondence.
Effectively utilizes, coordinates, and cultivates relationships with internal and external customers.
Contributes to the achievement of the assigned territory revenue goals for the Industrial Solutions sales teams.
Maintains and builds upon existing customer relationships through active account management and retention including the administration of profile renewals, regulatory updates and new service offerings.
Leverages existing customer relationships to identify new waste stream opportunities.
Drives new opportunities through written correspondence, collateral materials, email, and phone calls.
Provides leads to account managers and program managers using WM sales management tools.
Conducts effective probing of inbound customer calls to identify the proper methodology to “close” the customer.
Assists account managers with receivables and collections issues.
Handles inbound customer calls and referrals from account managers.
Delegates data entry, manifest preparation, filing and other basic administrative tasks to Industrial Sales Coordinators.

Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $49,400 - $58,500. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for commission.
