Job summary

Kaleidoscope, an Infosys Company, in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to work on custom industrial refrigeration and gas compression system equipment design—performing calculations, selecting components, and building documentation for customers.

The role supports project delivery, reviews codes and standards, generates P&IDs, and collaborates with procurement, production, and sales to optimize designs and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant field with 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and other presentation formats; AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software experience.
• Must be an outstanding teammate with ability to travel 5-10% and learn from experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Review compression system design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, contract requirements, and related codes and specifications.
• Review and interpret codes and standards (ASME, CRN, NFPA, AWS, IBC) for system compliance.
• Make system component selections while generating a project P&ID and confer with design engineers on standard products.
• Perform calculations, design reviews with production, and develop all custom documentation for project execution.
• Review and approve production drawings, recommending design improvements to reduce costs or increase efficiency.
• Prepare specifications for custom equipment and work with procurement to obtain quotations.
• Participate in multi-functional teams to drive continuous improvement of processes and methods.
