Job summary

CLX Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on building and supporting industrial software applications that drive airport, logistics, and material handling operations. This is a true software engineering role, not a field controls technician position.

You will work with the Software Engineering Manager and team to support CMMS initiatives, industrial applications, integrations, and backend functionality for automated operations. CLX cannot support work authorization visas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, Python, and .NET technologies.
• Experience building enterprise/industrial software.
• Understanding of software architecture and lifecycle management.
• Experience with REST APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain industrial software applications and backend services.
• Build scalable applications using C#, Python, and modern .NET technologies.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and database-driven applications.
• Support CMMS-related software initiatives and operational application development.
• Collaborate with controls engineers, project managers, and operations teams to support software integration needs.
• Participate in software architecture discussions, code reviews, and development planning.
• Troubleshoot software-related issues within production and testing environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and deployment procedures.
• Support application deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Contribute to software modernization initiatives across industrial automation.
