Job summary

South Louisiana Community College in Morgan City, LA seeks a full-time, 12-month instructional faculty member for Workforce Development and Continuing Education. The role combines classroom instruction, hands-on safety training, and curriculum development to prepare students for industrial careers.

The incumbent will manage assessments, maintain records, and collaborate with the Dean and program staff to align courses with industry needs, while upholding inclusive, safety-focused teaching

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial job environment.
• Industry knowledge areas: forklift operation, industrial environments, electrical, safety instruction, carpentry.
• Ability to work with diverse populations in a team environment.
• Apply common sense when following written or verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication skills; NCCER credentials for instruction.

Responsibilities

• Instructs theoretical and hands-on safety/continuing education classes.
• Delivers curriculum content and assesses students against measurable objectives/outcomes.
• Maintains attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes records.
