Job summary

CMC is seeking an Industrial Shipping & Inventory Helper in Mesa, AZ to support plant and yard operations. You will move materials, trailers, and loads using heavy forklifts, overhead cranes, and yard tractors while focusing on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces.
• Must be able to learn quickly and multitask.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Some overtime will be required.
• Work on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidays.

• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Operate forklift, yard truck and other mobile equipment.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping using overhead cranes.
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders.
• Communicate with others about production issues, concerns, and needs.
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in work methods and procedures.
• Maintain daily housekeeping in the work area.
• Troubleshoot problems using job knowledge and collaboration.

The Industrial Shipping & Inventory Helper supports plant and yard operations by safely operating and assisting with industrial-sized mobile equipment. This role involves moving materials, trailers, and loads using heavy forklifts, overhead cranes, and yard tractors while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and operational support.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Operate forklift, yard truck and other mobile equipment
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping using overhead cranes
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders
• Effectively communicate with others about possible production issues, concerns, and needs
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
• Responsible for continuous improvement such as suggesting improvements in work methods and procedures
• Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
• Troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
