Job summary

Gratz Pilates, LLC. is seeking an Industrial Sewist to join our production team and contribute to the crafting of premium Pilates equipment accessories. You will alter, create, repair, and restyle items using industrial sewing machines to meet project specifications.

The role requires at least 2 years in upholstery and sewing, including marine-grade materials and vinyl, with attention to detail and the ability to work well with a team to hit deadlines. PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of upholstery and sewing experience.
• Experience with marine-grade upholstery, vinyl, and notions.
• Ability to measure, cut, and assemble fabrics with precision.
• Proficiency in piping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabrics by measuring, cutting, and selecting materials per project specs.
• Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble mats, pillows, cushions; handle piping.
• Create custom fabric components and adapt sewing techniques for different materials.
• Inspect finished work for durability and quality; suggest improvements to methods.

Job Title: Industrial Sewist Machine Operator Location: N Preston St.19104

We are looking for an Industrial Sewist to join our growing production team and contribute to the completion of our quality products.

Job Summary: This role is responsible for altering, creating, repairing and restyling our Pilates equipment accessories using industrial sewing machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabric Preparation
  • Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics based on project specifications
  • Work with a variety of upholstery materials, including vinyl, and canvas
  • Ensure precise alignment and pattern matching during fabric preparation
• Sewing and Assembly
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to create high-quality seams for equipment components like mats, pillows, and cushions
  • Assemble fabric components for upholstery project
  • Incorporate piping, and other fasteners into designs
• Customization
  • Create and sew custom fabric components, such as intricate patterns and unique designs
  • Adjust sewing techniques to suit different materials and textures
• Maintenance and Quality Control
  • Inspect completed projects for durability, accuracy, and client satisfaction
  • Perform necessary repairs and adjustments to achieve high-quality results
  • Provide input on fabric selection and sewing methods to enhance project outcomes
