Job summary

Ucsspirit in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level sewing associate to join our team. You will sew leather, Naugahyde or other heavy materials and learn to operate an industrial sewing machine on the job.

You will be responsible for data collection and documentation, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting defects to the supervisor. On-the-job training provided and opportunities to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Must have industrial sewing experience.
• Must be able to use an industrial sewing machine.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Must have good eye for small detailed inspection.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Ability to use a ruler and have good basic math skills.
• Must be ambitious, energetic, and quality conscious.

Responsibilities

• Sewing leather, Naugahyde or other heavy materials.
• Train on and operate an industrial sewing machine.
• Responsible for data collection and documentation.
• Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
