MillerKnoll is seeking dedicated manufacturing talent to support our design-forward upholstery operations. In this role you will operate industrial sewing machines to join fabric and upholstery pieces, adhering to quality criteria and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience sewing hidden zippers.
• Ability to operate and program sewing machines.
• Ability to distinguish between colors of thread or fabric, grain and patterns.
• Good hand-eye coordination, concentration and attention to detail.
• Basic math, reading and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and to manipulate small parts with power tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust machines to stitch various types of fabrics.
• Complete daily paperwork to track rejects, units completed or other documentation.
• Inspect parts during assembly and upon completion to ensure quality.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness and organization.
• Make minor repairs to assigned machines.
• Operate industrial sewing machine to join pre-cut/upholstery pieces and align for grain/pattern.
• Report equipment or safety concerns promptly to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform additional responsibilities to meet business objectives.
