Job summary

GFL Environmental in Baytown, TX is seeking an Industrial Services Technician to support emergency response, hydro blasting, tank cleaning, and industrial cleaning services. Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in hydro blasting and tank cleaning.
• Physically fit and able to wear protective clothing and respiratory protection.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to be on-call and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency spill incidents involving rail, roadway, and fixed facilities.
• Perform chemical transloading between tank cars, tank trucks, frac tanks, vacuum boxes, open-top boxes, and fixed facility tanks.
• Conduct chemical neutralization, decontamination, and remediation for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Perform confined space entry work, including tank, sewer, and pipe cleaning.
• Complete industrial cleaning services such as hydro blasting, hydro excavation, and high-pressure/pressure washer cleaning.
• Assist air mover and vacuum truck operators during cleaning, ventilation, and recovery operations.
• Handle drums and bulk containers containing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain vacuum boxes, open-top boxes, and frac tanks.
• Inspect, service, and prepare emergency response and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Complete and maintain required documentation for emergency response and cleaning activities.
