Job summary

Crane Engineering is seeking a Service Technician to join our Midwest-based team. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform precision overhauls, installations, and service work on pumps, valves, agitators, and other rotating equipment at our shop and on customer sites.

We value integrity, teamwork, customer focus, and a drive to learn. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and strong verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn and be trained in precision repair and installation of fluid process equipment.
• Positive, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards.
• Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload.
• Well-organized and self-directed team player.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Effectively handle lifting of objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision overhauls of pumps, valves, agitators, and other rotating equipment in house and at customer sites.
• Install fluid process equipment at industrial customer sites.
• Install and service wastewater equipment at customer sites.
• Install mechanical seals, couplings, V-belts, bearing seals, relief valves and other accessories.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding service work and parts.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on service equipment and tools.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
