Job summary

Farnsworth Group seeks an Industrial/Semiconductor Mechanical Engineer to manage multi-project mechanical design including HVAC, exhaust, cleanroom design, plumbing, and process utilities for advanced manufacturing sectors like semiconductor and biotech.

The role reports to an Engineering Manager who offers mentoring. Requires strong collaboration with clients and production staff, and flexibility to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• PE license is preferred but not required.
• Experience with technically complex system design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Mechanical system construction drawings and specifications for submittal and construction administration.
• Prepare preliminary schematics, designs, calculations, equipment selection, and layout.
• Maintain project design budgets and schedules while pursuing quality.
• Research and apply codes relevant to projects.
• Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors.
• Coordinate with other production staff.
