Industrial Security Specialist III (TS with SCI Eligibility Clearance and Hybrid role)

RiveraTech is looking for an Industrial Security Specialist III responsible for conducting daily security functions to ensure the protection of government assets in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). This is a hybrid role with in-office requirement, so the selected hire will reside in the DC/MD/VA area.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Federal staff in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Implement existing security directives, make recommendations to resolve complex security issues by coordinating with senior security specialists, including solutions and follow-up communications.
  • Review and provide recommendations for approval of contracting checklists required for all classified contracts.
  • Track trend data, draft reports, and produce incident reports in case of violations.
Qualifications
  • At least four (4) years of experience in industrial security administration and adjudication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong risk management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Expert knowledge or familiarity with government policies/regulations such as FIS, E.O. 12968, 13526, 10450, CFRs, SEADs, ICD 704, and others relevant for security adjudications.
  • Deep understanding of NISPOM, DHS/CISA security standards, and the DD Form 254 lifecycle, including review, drafting, and approval processes.
  • Experience in reviewing and recommending approval for classified contract checklists.
  • Knowledge of National Security, Critical Infrastructure, interagency security, industrial, personnel, and system security areas.

Physical Demands:

  • Work performed in an office environment.
  • Require standing, walking, sitting; talking or hearing in person or by phone.
  • Use of a computer throughout working hours.
