Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain and dismantle tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures.

A minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience is required. The role requires adherence to OSHA and Austin Industrial requirements, along with safe site practices.

Qualifications

• Education – High School diploma with a certification as a lubrication technician.
• Experience - 3 years minimum experience in scaffolding craft.
• Supervisory Responsibilities - May directly supervise 1 to 5 scaffold builder helpers.
• Language Skills - Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Mathematical Skills - Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and scaffold material for defects.
• Communicates safety hazards and mitigates hazards prior to construction.
• Transports tubular scaffold and erects scaffold to required dimensions.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward for erection.
• Securely locks and levels scaffold components.
• Adheres to OSHA and Austin Industrial requirements.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when instructed.
• Inspects and stores scaffold material after dismantling.
