Role Description

The Industrial Safety Technician is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Springfield, MO. This role focuses on supporting and implementing occupational safety programs across industrial facilities, including conducting routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Daily responsibilities include monitoring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and assisting in the development and updating of safety procedures and documentation. The technician helps deliver safety training and toolbox talks, maintains safety records and incident reports, and supports investigations of near‑misses and incidents to drive continuous improvement. Collaboration with operations, maintenance, and management teams is essential to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply these principles in industrial settings.
• Practical experience in Workplace Safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, safety inspections, and incident prevention.
• Effective Communication skills, with the ability to convey safety requirements clearly, conduct training, and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA and relevant regulations; experience interpreting and applying safety standards in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to collect and analyze safety data, maintain accurate documentation, and use basic office and safety management software.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
• Relevant certification or coursework in safety, EHS, or industrial hygiene (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is beneficial.
