Advanced Technology Institute LLC in Virginia Beach seeks an Industrial Safety Instructor & Campus Safety Coordinator to deliver safety-focused instruction while leading campus-wide safety initiatives. This role reduces teaching load to dedicate time to regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness across ATI’s laboratories and classrooms.

The position requires 3–5 years in safety or related fields, OSHA training credentials or ability to obtain within 6–12 months,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in occupational safety, industrial maintenance, skilled trades, or related field.
• Prior teaching, training, or instructional experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in OSHA compliance, safety audits, or workplace safety programs required.

Responsabilités

• Teach courses within an ATI program in alignment with curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Design and deliver safety-related instruction relevant to ATI programs.
• Collaborate with academic leaders and teaching staff to integrate safety best practices into labs and shops.
• Develop, update, and maintain safety training materials aligned with industry standards and employer expectations.
• Oversee campus safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments of labs, classrooms, and common areas.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts, including drills.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, certifications, incidents, and compliance activities.
• Support faculty and staff in implementing safety standards within programs.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through ongoing training and awareness initiatives.
