Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Safety Engineer to lead safety programs at the Queenstown facility. You will conduct risk assessments, oversee incidents, and drive compliance with OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 and SA legislation while fostering a proactive safety culture.

This hands-on role requires site inspections, training delivery, and collaboration with management to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial safety engineering or a related role.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 and relevant South African safety legislation.
• Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, and developing safety programs.
• Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Safety Engineer to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial safety regulations, best practices, and hazard control techniques. You will work closely with management, supervisors, and employees to identify potential hazards, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards.
