Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, seeks a Health and Safety Supervisor in Charleston, SC to inspect work areas, enforce safety policies, and lead on-site safety programs at client facilities. You will oversee ongoing work sites, ensure compliance with regulations, and champion a strong safety culture in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial safety experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Protection and DISA standards.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
• CSST certification required.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, interventions, and manage permits and paperwork.
• Lead employee safety training programs and coordination.
• Oversee job hazard analyses and manage safety equipment inspection and testing.
• Provide leadership on Clean Harbors processes and expectations.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; manage injury and incident follow-up.
• Coach and supervise teams to improve safety performance.
• Build relationships with the client safety department.
• Document inspections and cite dangerous areas; recommend corrective actions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
