Job summary

Qualifications

• Safety and general job training completed as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist with positioning of rigging equipment (chain falls, hoists, blocks, rope, jacks, chains) as directed by the Rigger.
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load size and weight.
• Attach rigging to overhead structures with bolts and clamps as needed.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and maintain safe work conditions.
• Follow verbal and hand signals as assigned.
• Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and other workers' activities.
• Secure materials and rigging gear for transport.
• Perform housekeeping of work areas and packing materials.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
