Job summary

Octane Environmental is seeking a Rescue Specialist to join our Biogas/RE division. This hands-on field role identifies hazards, conducts site assessments, delivers safety training, and leads emergency response in industrial and confined spaces.

You'll work on OSHA/ANSI standards, perform equipment inspections, support safe evacuations, and collaborate with site safety teams while maintaining thorough incident records and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in rescue, industrial safety, or emergency response.
• CPR, First Aid, and confined space rescue certifications valued.
• High school diploma required; rescue or safety certifications preferred.
• Excellent physical fitness for challenging environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork in the field.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to identify hazards and preventative measures
• Respond to emergencies — industrial incidents and confined space operations
• Deliver safety training to Biogas / RE site personnel on best practices
• Administer first aid and emergency medical support during incidents
• Lead or support safe evacuations from hazardous areas
• Operate, inspect, and maintain rescue equipment and vehicles
• Collaborate with Biogas / RE site safety teams and external emergency services
• Maintain records of incidents, interventions, and safety audits
• Participate in ongoing training — advanced rescue and confined space techniques
