Job summary
TekPro Engineering is seeking an Industrial Reliability Maintenance Technician to join second- or third-shift teams on production floors in the Elgin/Bartlett area. You will diagnose issues on packaging lines, perform repairs, and help keep lines running smoothly.
You will troubleshoot automated equipment, perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors, and read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Qualifications
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with production, manufacturing, or packaging equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with motors, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors.
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus; programming is not required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and packaging equipment to reduce downtime.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on automated machinery, conveyors, motors, and facility systems.
- Resolve mechanical and electrical failures quickly and safely to maintain throughput.
- Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Perform changeovers, adjustments, repairs, and new equipment installations.
- Complete scheduled PMs and proactively identify components at risk of failure.
