Job summary

Par Health, Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to install, operate, maintain and repair industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems across our manufacturing facility.

You will diagnose issues, monitor performance, and ensure safe, compliant operation while supporting production objectives. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with refrigeration components, control systems, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Refrigeration Mechanic/HVAC apprenticeship preferred.
• Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC/R preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience considered.
• Ability to diagnose and repair refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system failures.
• Ability to read blueprints, piping diagrams and control schematics.
• Hands-on proficiency with tools, meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul industrial refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability.
• Inspect and adjust systems for temperature, pressure and energy efficiency.
• Diagnose issues using testing instruments and control diagrams.
• Read blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals to guide work.
• Monitor refrigerant levels and perform recovery and charging in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain BAS/HVAC control systems and supporting utility systems.
• Coordinate activities with Operations and Engineering to minimize disruption.
