Job summary

IHG Mechanical in Los Angeles, CA, seeks an Industrial Refrigeration Technician - Ammonia Refrigeration Tech for a full-time on-site role. You will maintain and repair freon systems and manage ammonia systems, with a 7:00 am–4:00 pm schedule and up to 25% travel, Monday–Friday.

You’ll install, test, and optimize heating and cooling setups, work closely with customers and the service manager, and deliver timely updates and solutions to keep systems running reliably.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration.
• Qualified to work on ammonia and freon systems.
• Universal EPA license.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Trade school graduation and RETA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair industrial freon refrigeration systems.
• Manage ammonia refrigeration systems daily.

YOUR NEW ROLE

This is a full-time position with a stable schedule from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with up to 25% travel.

As our Industrial Refrigeration Technician - Ammonia Refrigeration Tech, you'll spend your day maintaining and repairing industrial freon refrigeration systems while taking daily charge of our ammonia systems. You'll install, repair, test, and optimize heating and air conditioning setups, addressing technical challenges with precision and care. Working closely with customers and our service manager, you'll provide timely updates and innovative solutions that keep systems running flawlessly. REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration
• Qualified to work on both ammonia and freon systems
• Universal EPA license
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Ability to complete all the physical requirements of the position

Graduation from a trade school and a RETA certification are preferred but not required.
