Job summary

RC&E, LLC is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our industrial refrigeration construction team in Fort Worth. You will fabricate, fit-up, weld, braze, install and repair piping systems made of carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper, with ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.

You will read isometrics, P&IDs, and drawings, perform pipe fit-up, and weld using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) per procedures. Safety and quality are top priorities on every project site.

Qualifications

• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick).
• Experience brazing copper refrigeration piping systems.
• Industrial refrigeration experience preferred.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
• Ability to read piping drawings, isometrics, and construction documents.
• Ability to identify weld defects and perform corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Weld, fabricate, and install carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems for industrial refrigeration applications.
• Braze copper piping and tubing systems utilizing proper brazing techniques.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, spool drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Perform pipe fit-up, alignment, layout, and assembly of piping systems and equipment connections.
• Prepare pipe and fittings for welding and brazing, ensuring proper bevels, cleanliness, and joint preparation.
• Perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and other approved welding processes in accordance with qualified welding procedures.
• Produce high-quality welds that meet applicable code requirements and company quality standards.
• Install pipe supports, hangers, anchors, and related piping components.
• Operate grinders, cutting equipment, and other hand and power tools.
• Direct and assist helpers in material preparation, fit-up, and installation activities.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
