Job summary

Nassau Candy is seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration / HVAC Technician to join our Hicksville, NY facility. This on-site role focuses on maintaining and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems, including walk-in coolers and production cooling equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to service calls to keep operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate holds EPA 608 Universal Certification, 5+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC (10+ preferred), strong

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of desiccant dehumidifiers and CMMS familiarity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues involving walk-in coolers/freezers, cooling tunnels, boilers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
• Respond promptly to work orders and service calls.
• Install, test, and repair HVAC-related systems and components.
• Track work completed, time, and materials; assist in SOP creation for recurring maintenance tasks.
• Interpret blueprints and ensure proper tools and materials are available for assigned tasks.

We are currently seeking a skilled and well-rounded Industrial Refrigeration / HVAC Technician to join our team at our Hicksville, NY facility. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician to support critical systems and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems across our facilities
