Job description

Our growing team is looking for an experienced Capital Projects Sales Representative to provide exceptional service to our existing and new customers in the industrial and commercial refrigeration sector.

The purpose of the role:
The Capital Project Sales Representative will utilize their knowledge and expertise in the industrial or commercial refrigeration sector to work closely with clients’ design teams designing systems, troubleshooting problems with production, taking corrective action, and building relationships with them and other stakeholders. This will involve traveling to and spending time at a variety of customer sites.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Work to Qualify/Close New Accounts and Leads Generated by Business Development
  2. Maintain any existing customer base and cultivate opportunities
  3. Maintain a Pipeline of Active Opportunities
  4. Assist in providing preliminary design of industrial refrigeration solutions based on customers’ needs, specifications, applicable codes and company standards
  5. Host internal reviews prior to submitting to the customer
  6. Building estimates by selecting equipment, issuing quotations, ensuring proper scope and best competitive pricing is obtained by reviewing drawings, specifications and coordinating strategy meetings
  7. Completion of change notices accurately and in a timely fashion
  8. Achieve sales targets and objectives as set out by the Team Lead
  9. Manage sales opportunities to close, won and transmit Internally
  10. Organize internal and external resources throughout the Sales Process
  11. Accurately report on Forecast/Pipeline
  12. Share information on Customers / Competitors / Trends
  13. Assist in AR issues
  14. Managing sales leads cultivated by the Service Sales team and assist in providing solutions
  15. Regular attendance at team meetings
  16. Assist in the development of growth initiatives for your region
  17. Attend expos and conferences as needed
  18. Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and deliver high quality results consistently
  19. Build strong internal and external relationships
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  1. 5-10 years engineering/technical sales/project management experience in Industrial Refrigeration market
  2. Possession of a refrigeration certificate, PE or PMP would be an asset
  3. Background in Ammonia & CO2 Refrigeration, industrial heat pumps and heat recovery systems
  4. Ability to read, interpret and prepare mechanical drawings, specifications and schedules
  5. Strong Computer Skills
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  7. Excellent communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset
  8. Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen eye for detail
