Greenfield Manufacturing Project |Greenville, South Carolina

Some industrial project managers improve existing factories. Others get the opportunity to build one.

An established, family-owned European industrial group is launching its first manufacturing facility in the United States, in Greenville, South Carolina. The initial operation will be mid size , with ambitions for future growth.

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Project Manager to lead this project locally, from facility preparation and equipment installation through commissioning, production start-up, and ramp-up.

YOUR MISSION

You will be the on-site project leader and central coordinator, bringing together engineering teams, contractors, equipment suppliers, and industrial specialists. Your responsibilities will include:

• Project planning, scheduling, milestones, and CAPEX management.
• Equipment selection and purchasing, with the support of the Group's headquarters.
• Coordination of facility preparation, infrastructure, and industrial installations.
• Equipment delivery, installation, testing, and acceptance (FAT/SAT).
• Commissioning, operational readiness, production start-up, and ramp-up.
• Coordination between U.S. stakeholders and the Group's European industrial management.

You won't be expected to master every manufacturing process. Experienced technical specialists from the Group will support you throughout the project, including training and familiarization with its existing European manufacturing operations.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

An industrial professional with 10 to 15 years of experience, who has led at least one industrial project end to end: planning, budget, equipment selection and purchasing, reception, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up.

The scope can vary: a new production line, a major equipment installation, a plant expansion, an automation project, or a complete industrial start-up. Previous greenfield experience is welcome, but not essential.

Your background could be in automotive, industrial automation, machinery manufacturing, aerospace, metallurgy, metal processing, electrical equipment, or other advanced manufacturing and process industries.

What matters is your ability to coordinate complex industrial projects, manage budgets and timelines, solve problems, and deliver results.

You will be the permanent link between the U.S. operation and the Group's European industrial teams. We are looking for proven experience working across cultures outside the United States, ideally with Western European organizations or similar.
